hey everyone!! i'm making this post as a little directory for my blog & my writing :) i'll update it when i post new works or have updates!
about me <3
hello, i'm phlarry! i like to write and enjoy yapping about it any and every chance i get. jjk has me in a chokehold for the forseeable future, so that's mostly what you'll see on my blog (specifically itafushi and satosugu!), along with the occasional personal or art-related post. i've also gotten into danmei lately, so expect some of that too! my asks and dms are usually open if you wanna chat or anything!
my writing <3
you can find most of my writing on my ao3 account (phlarry), but i occasionally post snippets, sneak peeks, and drabbles here! i'm always open to hearing new ideas for fics, so if you have something you'd like to see me write go ahead and tell me! no guarantees that i'll write it since i have far too many WIPs and ideas of my own, but i'm happy to hear them regardless :)
my fics <3
itafushi
college itafushi shenanigans (series)
No Scrubs [oneshot, 23.6k] - 5 times Megumi turns fratbro Yuuji down, and 1 time he doesn’t
Soft Spot [oneshot, 25.6k] - 5 times Megumi can’t commit, and the 1 time he can.
Hey Lover [twoshot, 43k] - 5 times meeting the family goes terribly wrong, and 1 time it goes sort of right. (or, Megumi and Yuuji are finally on the same page, so can everyone else stop acting weird as fuck?)
Coming Home [WIP, 2/6 chapters published, 10k] - 5 times Megumi and Yuuji try to get a certain someone a date for Valentine’s day, and the 1 time they unexpectedly succeed. (or, disoriented by the bliss of their ongoing honeymoon phase, Megumi agrees to help Yuuji play matchmaker for Gojo and immediately regrets it.)
the (literal) water sports fic (series)
Dive In (or Drown Trying) [completed, 143k] - immovable object (way too serious collegiate dive star Megumi) meets unstoppable force (way too sexy water polo team captain Yuuji). Hilarity ensues.
satosugu
The Penalty Box (Ejected from the Game) [ongoing collection of deleted scenes from Dive In, 2.8k] - Megumi and Yuuji hate each other. They also fuck. A lot. (or, the smut that didn't make it into the main fic.)
Unto Death (I Will Follow You) [WIP, 1/15 chapters published, 6.9k] - The Emperor sends his most promising court sorcerer on a perilous and urgent expedition, and assigns the most dedicated new member of his Imperial Guard to accompany him.
Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy [WIP, 1/10 chapters published, mini-hiatus, 4k] - Suguru and Satoru meet as Jujutsu High first years. It becomes everyone’s problem.
my tags <3
i am pretty terrible at tagging my posts here, but i'll list some common ones i use that you may want to peruse (and will update the list as necessary)! for posts about specific fics (like sneak peeks or snippets), each is tagged with the name of the fic.
ask phlarry - mostly responses to things from my inbox
jjk drabbles - (loosely defined) drabbles i write when i feel like it!
phlarry watches - me yapping about things i'm watching
phlarry's fic recs - my fic recs
megumimegumimegumi - yapping about or fawning over my dearest most favorite character megumi fushiguro
phlarry stay focused - my random yapping
dadjo is so important to me - yapping about or fawning over my dearest most favorite father and son, gojo and megumi
fanfic writing - screaming about my writing
final thoughts <3
i try to be pretty welcoming and positive, so please try to do the same when interacting with my posts or me! i'm not afraid to ignore and block, but please don't make that necessary for me to do.
anyway, i hope you enjoy my blog! much love <3

"Ambush at Dremore'Ande" character profile #1
Leilani Golbaren
Name: Leilani Golbaren
Age: 28
Species: Human
Gender: Female
From: Vanjervalis
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Build & Height: Athletic, 5'8
Alliance: Alliance to Restore the Republic/Alliance of Free Planets (briefly)/The New Republic
Position/rank: Commander/Commadore
Role: New captain of the "Royal Gallowfree"
Bit of background (I say a bit, its actually a lot 😅): Leilani Golbaren, born 24 BBY on Vanjervalis, an ancient planet in the Colonies. When she was only one, her father (a captain in Vanjervalis' Defence Fleet) transferred to the new, centralised, republic navy, where he received a commission for the same rank. Captain Cirrord Golbaren stayed as such for the entirety of the clone wars, although he received a respectable notoriety as a skilled defensive tactician. Upon the end of the war, he resigned his commission, with an honourable discharge and set off on a new venture as a defence contractor.
He served in this role for many a year, helping smaller colonies and inner rim planets to boost their own planetary defences and offering a small, well trained security force as a deterrent to piracy. On one mission however, that he led personally, trouble occured and his small flotilla was destroyed in a confrontation with an Imperial frigate.
It was later discovered that the organisation that had paid for his services in hunting down and detaining a pirate group using Imperial equipment had actually been a mistake of sorts; the group were not pirates but privateers in the service of a local governor. (Very confusing but basically it was friendly fire due to imperial negligence and a result of bickering between governors)
Her father survived, but was badly wounded, and would not leave the atmosphere of Vanjervalis again for many years after returning home. Although there was an inquest by the imperials (the governor was arrested and the privateers that survived annialted) he still bore a grudge.
Leilani had been only 11 years of age at her father's misfortune (13 BBY). She would grew up learning from her father about the old republic he had once held so dear, and the imperials he would continue to hold in greater disdain. She was homeschooled on her family's small holding, brought up in the rigidness but respectful atmosphere of an old navy officers home. At 17, in 6 BBY, she was sent by her father to a small local defence fleet college. She excelled, and would enter the service of a PDF in the southern expansion region.
Here she gained knowledge and combined with her father's navy background, a strong maintenance of rigid practice and routine. She also developed a strong passion for keeping physically fit, to the point it almost became a source of comfort for her. She took her job very seriously and reached the rank of Captain. It was in 1bby that the planet she served became supportive of the rebel alliance. It was planned that two ships, Leilani's and another be "attacked" and forcibly boarded by the Rebel Alliance, leading to their loss. In reality, it was staged and was a method of supporting the Alliance Navy and providing crew.
Leilani saw this as a new opportunity and worked hard to rise the ranks. In a strike of luck, Jan Dodanna, whom her father had once served under, was aboard the ship that hailed her and her crew, and he became an advocate for her. She was allowed to keep the rank of Commander, same as her father, and placed in charge at a secret alliance shipyard and it's defence, and here she became known for her strict discipline and effective leadership. However, this position, at first meant to be temporary, also kept her from getting a chance to prove herself and she ended up mostly forgotten about, even by Dodanna. She applied time and again to be promoted or given a new assignment but it fell to no avail. One day, she was accidentally mislabeled as Commadore by a holomessage in response to her latest application, rather than her actual rank of Commander. Mistaking this as confirmation of a long overdue promotion, she became more insistent that she be transferred.
Her time finally came right before the Battle of Endor. She and her crew were transferred to take part in the battle but a skirmish with measly pirates on the way meant they never made rendezvous. She did get a chance to prove herself during the following Nagai-Tof invasion however, her damaged ship taking part in the Battle of Saijo.
She was noticed by Firmus Nantz, new commander of the 1st fleet of the fledging new republic navy, based in the Western Reaches. He new nothing of her rank mistake, and capitalising on the fact she wasn't yet assigned to any particular fleet, he had her installed in his own command. She was informed of a transfer. She was to take command of an Assault Frigate and be given her own squadron, a massive step up.
However, due to a logistics error, it turned out the ship had actually been destroyed, and she was instead, without her knowledge, dispatched to take command of a much smaller Consular class cruiser, the "Royal Gallowfree" that had actually just lost its commander as it set off on an urgent mission.
And that folks is where the story will begin.
Strengths: Strong minded, experienced, loyal, fairly tactical minded (but no Thrawn), logistically smart, resourceful, good at heart, kind and genuine to people after she calms the fuck down at times
Weaknesses: Stubborn, rigid, routine oriented, always by the book, big headed, can come across as rude or entitled, not actually too experienced in true combat, maybe too eager to prove herself, can't read people sometimes
Other notes:
- Leilani is actually the character I know the least about, I can't seem to work her out, where she came from and where she was during 2BBY -> Battle of Endor is difficult for me to decide upon, so above is my most solid but not definite decision
- She's not meant to be liked straight away. It was actually hard for me to think of positives, she's meant to be a real biotchĂŠ for the start of the book, even the start of the series, slowly it's chipped away though.
- I've never written a female character so please be lenient with me, I see a lot of giving out and complaints on Tiktok, I'm gonna write her best I can
- her pull up record is 32
-no idea what else, any questions feel free to ask

✦ THE ROMANTIC OPTIONS ✦
The Traitor: Aguyo/Aguya ✦ he/him or she/her ✦ [RO] —
They have no last name… Or rather, they don’t know it. You were raised in an orphanage with them for as long as you can remember. You crawled, then walked, then ran with them. You learned how to read and write with them. You learned how to steal and stab with them. Your souls were made of the same star that exploded way back when, at the beginning of time. You were a part of each other. That is… You were until they turned you into the Emperor. Now, they’re like a completely different person.
The Noble: Vespero/Vespera de Luna ✦ he/him or she/her ✦ [RO] —
The de Luna name is perhaps as famous as the Imperial Name. As one of the oldest and most powerful families in the Empire, the de Lunas have an excess of riches and luxuries… as well as enemies and problems. As the only child of their famous and frosty parents, V is set to inherit all of this. What’s more? They were best friends with your belated brother. They helped him rule and with him gone, it’s now their job to help you.
The Guard: Haroon Daou ✦ he/him ✦ [RO] —
A man of mysterious origins, Haroon became Prince Sidra’s personal guard at the prince’s very own request. Very little understood why a title typically granted to those of noble blood was given to someone of such a strange background. Still, no one could deny Haroon’s skill. That was, of course, until Prince Sidra died in a freak accident. Instead of being dismissed, Haroon was assigned to you. He couldn't care less that you are a bastard. He failed to protect the young prince. He will not fail to protect you.
The Celestial: Kaamite Major ✦ they/them ✦ [RO] —
As a ranking member of the College of Celestials, Kaamite can touch the stars and come back unburned. Even in your childhood, you heard tales of them pulling fire from the sky and closing wounds with a whisper. But now face-to-face in a province where you are supposed to command a star of your very own? They seem to be only a bitter, unhappy tutor. They say they do not doubt, but how they speak? You are not so sure. You only know one thing for certain: They might be your most powerful ally or your most dangerous enemy.
The Shadow: Enya Cozbi ✦ she/her ✦ [RO] —
She is what you are — or rather, were — in the capital. In only a few years, Enya has managed to claw her way to power and keep it. At the head of the strongest syndicate in the province, Enya has very little interest in politics. Yet for someone who claims to not be interested in the working of the Imperial House, you cannot help but notice the hatred she harbors for you and your entire family. That, and she's always around.
The ???: ??? ???? ✦ ????? ✦ [RO] —
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Mastering the IB Extended Essay: Your Complete Guide to Scoring High
One of the most challenging yet rewarding components of the IB Diploma Programme is the Extended Essay (EE)—a 4,000-word independent, self-directed piece of academic research. At first glance, writing an essay of such length might feel like standing at the base of Mount Everest with no climbing gear. But with the right support, strategy, and structure, you can conquer this mountain with confidence.
Tumblr media
At Tychr, we understand that the Extended Essay is not just another assignment—it's a significant academic milestone. That’s why we offer comprehensive guidance to help IB students turn this complex task into a powerful learning experience.
What Is the IB Extended Essay?
The IB Extended Essay is an in-depth study of a focused topic chosen from the list of approved Diploma Programme subjects. It provides students with an opportunity to investigate a topic of special interest and develop the independent research and writing skills expected at university.
Whether your subject is History, Biology, Economics, Literature, or even Visual Arts, the EE gives you the freedom to explore an area that you're passionate about. You’ll develop a research question, plan your investigation, conduct research, analyze your findings, and present your arguments in a structured format.
Why the EE Matters
The EE is more than just a requirement—it’s a preparation ground for college-level academic writing and research. Here are some key benefits:

Access our repository of IB-approved EEs, samples, and guides.
Attend sessions led by IB examiners who know exactly what assessors look for.
What Makes a Great EE Topic?
Struggling to pick a topic? Consider these tips:
Choose something you're genuinely curious about.
Ensure the topic is narrow enough to cover within 4,000 words.
Ask yourself: Can I find reliable sources?
Think interdisciplinary: Link TOK concepts or global issues to make your essay more impactful.
Example Topics:
To what extent has urban gentrification impacted housing affordability in East London? (Economics)
How does the symbolism in George Orwell’s 1984 reflect the political climate of post-war Britain? (Literature)
What factors influence the solubility of different types of sugar in water at room temperature? (Chemistry)
Final Tips to Ace Your EE
Start early. You’ll need months, not weeks.
Stay consistent with research and writing.
Use your supervisor wisely—but don’t rely on them to fix everything.
Proofread meticulously. Spelling and formatting matter!
Reflect genuinely in your RPPF—it adds credibility and insight.

Skyrimverse: Character Summaries
It's been a while since I've posted actual content. I don't know if this would qualify as actual content, but it's... something. I'm a big fan of Skyrim and started playing it again recently, and it made me remember that I do have an AU for it. Yippeeeeeee.
The only reason Ink is a woman in this AU is because he needs to be a Daughter of Coldharbour for the plot.
Frisk: A native Nord of Skyrim who was born in the city of Helgen. They are believed to be the Last Dragonborn, destined to slay the fearsome Alduin and put an end to the threat posed by dragons. They are the Thane of Whiterun and a disciple of the Greybeards, and they live in Breezehome within Whiterun's main city.
Blue: A native Nord of Skyrim who was born in Riften. He was one of the soldiers of Whiterun before being assigned as Frisk's housecarl, and follows the Dragonborn everywhere unless otherwise dismissed.
Cross: A Nord who was born and raised in Skyrim. He was enlisted in the Imperial Legion during the Great War, but withdrew from the army following the signing of the White-Gold Concordat due to physical and psychological trauma. After receiving treatment at the Temple of the Divines, he became a traveling mercenary and did odd jobs until he came to Whiterun, which is where he was introduced to the Companions. After rising in their ranks, he became a member of the inner circle and was given lycanthropy, eventually becoming the Harbinger of the Companions as well. He resides in the living quarters of Jorrvaskr with the other Companions.
Nightmare: A powerful Altmer mage who hails from the Summerset Isles. As one of the sons of a powerful and noble family, he has a significant amount of inheritance; the reasons for his presence in Skyrim and his enrollment in the College of Winterhold are unknown to everyone except for those in his family. He became the Arch-Mage of the College following the previous one's demise, has slain the Dragon Priest known as Morokei, and recovered both the Eye of Magnus and the Staff of Magnus. He is known to have connections to both the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild.
Dream: An Altmer who hails from the Summerset Isles. Following his arrival in Skyrim, he and his twin went their separate ways, and Dream became involved with the Thieves Guild in Riften. Through his connections with the Guild and the Black-Briars, his was able to become a Thane of Riften, and purchased the Honeyside estate for himself. He leads a double-life in Riften, balancing his identity as a nobleman and a Master thief. Following the former leader's betrayal, Dream became the new Guildmaster, and he is also a devoted Nightingale of Nocturnal. He struggles with alcoholism and a Skooma addiction, and he has several encounters with Cross.
Killer: A Dunmer who fled from the mainland of Morrowind to the island of Solstheim. During his youth, he and his mother lived with one of his uncles who made unwanted advances towards her, so he killed him. As a result of his murder, Killer had to flee Solstheim, being a stowaway on a ship to Windhelm. He eventually found himself in trouble with the Dark Brotherhood due to accidentally killing one of their targets, but was officially recruited to the group of assassins, and was appointed as the Night Mother's Listener. He resides in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary just outside of Dawnstar, and holds the responsibility of conveying the Night Mother's words and heeding her orders.
Dust: A Khajiit who was originally part of a traveling caravan, serving as one of the guards for the merchants. During one of their travels, they were ambushed by a group of bandits, and Dust just barely survived the attack. When he went to the Jarl for help, he was turned away, leading him to resort to handling it on his own. The Dark Brotherhood noticed his sheer bloodlust and knack for killing, and he was recruited to the faction, becoming one of the upper members.
Horror: An Orc who originally lived in Largashbur, an Orc stronghold located southwest of Lake Honrich. It is generally unknown how he was recruited to the Dark Brotherhood and he himself doesn't fully remember, since it was so long ago. During one of his missions in Markarth, he came into contact with the Coven of Namira, and became a cannibal. He was given the Ring of Namira by the Daedric Prince herself, and has a tendency to take bites out of his victims. He spared a young Bosmer named Aliza, who he took back to the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary and has been raising ever since.
Ink: An ancient, pure-blood vampire. She is known as one of the "Daughters of Coldharbour" and plays a crucial role in an ancient prophecy that foretells the eternal shrouding of the Sun. She was sealed away by her own mother to protect her from her father's madness, remaining in Dimhollow Crypt from the mid-late Second Era until she was found by Error. Ink has a very strained relationship with her parents and while she doesn't regret the power her vampirism has given her, she regrets how it tore her family apart. She is married to Error.
Error: A Redguard who accepted vampirisin from Clan Volkihar. He was originally a member of the Vigilants of Stendarr, having been taken in by the faction after his mother was killed, but he was never invested in their beliefs or ideals. Instead, he was fascinated by stories of Daedra and the Daedric Princes, habits that worried his fellow Vigilants. After the attack on the Hall of the Vigilant, Error was directed to the newly reformed Dawnguard, and was temporarily enlisted. During his mission to Dimhollow Crypt, he met Ink and escorted her back to Castle Volkihar, where he was offered the power of the vampire lord as payment for bringing her home. He accepted. Later, after thwarting the ancient prophecy and killing Ink's father, Error took over as the leader of Clan Volkihar and is actively seeking to destroy the Dawnguard. He is married to Ink.
